I’ve spent several months down the AI Rabbit hole. The only thing I know for certain is that watching AI do anything feels like a magic trick.

• One of the most concerning pieces of AI i’ve stumbled upon is a dialer that has made billions of calls. Try calling Bland AI for yourself and have a conversation with it. Tip: My way of detecting that I’m talking to AI is that it won’t interrupt me. How many conversations do you have where the other person goes the whole conversation without interrupting at least once?

• The most fun piece of AI i’ve stumbled across is Boardy. Message Boardy on LinkedIn yourself and be amazed by the future of networking.

• One of the best resources I’ve found is Agent AI, where pre-trained agents can be “Hired” like you would a person off of LinkedIn. If the baseline AI Model is like an untrained intern, Agent AI gives you a specialized entry level worker. Use this referral link to get bonus credits when you try Agent AI.

I don’t look at AI reshaping the landscape as inherently positive or negative. Change is neither good or bad, it just is. Once we embrace the rapidly evolving technological landscape. I think longer term we’ll be better off for it. As long as we never lose our humanity in the pursuit of productivity. Waching technology evolve, I’m reminded of my favorite monologue in cinema history.

So what does all of this have to do with gift giving?

I believe that across multiple dimensions, technology will enhance our collective gift giving abilities. I’ve been trying to leverage technology to automate my life. I even started to build web apps around gift giving. I hypothesize a future where lower level thinking and tasks are delegated to autonomous AI agents. In this future, we can dedicate more of ourselves to the things that a computer will not have an advantage over us. The things that make us uniquely human: empathy, love, and all of the imperfections that make us the species that we are.

One of the traits that the LLMs and AI Agents are known for is perfect memory. Perfect memory is defined as: “the theoretical ability of an AI system to flawlessly recall and access any piece of data it has ever encountered.” Humans do not have perfect memory. Our memory is actually pretty unreliable in a lot of ways. But what we do have is an emotional connection to memories. There’s beauty in that deep attachment we feel toward our personally biased versions of reality.

Here’s some ways to preserve those perfectly imperfect memories:
